Jim Bastian is a native of Miles City. Attended Custer County High School, Miles Community College, and a graduate from Career Academy of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He and his wife Jan returned home in 1986 after 15 years in Colorado Springs. After working in the retail clothing business for over 20 years, in 1995, he decided to do a career change.
